PRE TREATMENT ADVICE
Be Prepared:

Prior to your treatment think about the results you also wish to achieve. Despite being an expert in the field and able to give you advice, you are a massive part of the decision making and we have to come to a mutual agreement in regards to the technique and colour we wish to use. Wearing your every day make up to your appointment will also help us to see the look you go for on a daily basis.

Be prepared for the colour intensity to be sharper and darker immediately after the procedure. Swelling and redness may also be visible but this will subside. As the pigment heals within the skin the colour will soften.  The healing process is 28 days and you need to wait this amount of time to see true healed results. Colour will reduce by up to 30%.

Permanent makeup enhancements often require multiple applications of pigment. It is crucial you attend a top up appointment between 4-12 weeks for optimum results. Everyone's skin is different and in some cases one treatment alone is enough, however in other cases some may require additional appointments.

Clients more likely to need extra appointments are:
•Those whose skin types are oily, porous, or sensitive.
•Those whose skin is thin or of a darker tone.
•Those who have previous permanent makeup or are receiving colour correctional work.
•Those who have medical conditions compromising their healing.

(Please note the first touch-up is free and within the price, but if any additional touch-ups are required, there is an additional fee)

Lip Blush Pre Treatment Advice

• Since the lips have delicate skin, they may be swollen or have redness around them. I advise not to make social plans on the day of your enhancement.
• Make sure you moisturise your lips well every day for at least 7 days prior to your procedure. I advise drinking plenty of water to avoid lips drying out and to help with the healing process.
• Lip scrubs are recommended to gently massage and prepare the lips for treatment but please stop using these 48 hours prior to your appointment.
• If you have a history of cold sores (herpes simplex) and are scheduling a lip enhancement, I advise you to use anti-herpes medication (for example Zovirax ointment) that can be obtained from a chemist. Use the medication 5 days prior and 5 days after your enhancement 5 times a day to reduce the incidence of outbreak by 50%. Oral anti-herpes medication (available on prescription) will control the incidence of an outbreak more or less completely. Micropigmentation does not cause cold sores, however, if you carry the virus, it lays dormant in the nervous system and can be aroused by the treatment process. I would advise contacting your doctor in regards to a prescription if you suffer badly with cold sores.
• IPL laser hair removal around the mouth should be carried out no less than 2 weeks prior to your procedure.
• Dermal fillers in the lip should be performed no less than 4 weeks prior to your procedure.
